history

Until the church is planted

The first documentary mention as "Witoldeshusen" can be found in the ban on the wilderness of Emperor Heinrich to the Würzburg Bishop Adalbero von Lambach on June 22, 1060. As part of the Würzburg bishopric , Waigolshausen was part of the Franconian Empire from 1500 . The Hochstift Würzburg was secularized in 1803 in favor of Bavaria , then left in the Peace of Pressburg in 1805 to Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Electorate or Grand Duchy of Würzburg , with which it finally fell to Bavaria in 1814. The political municipality was established in 1818.
