Dittersbrunn is a district of the Upper Franconian market Ebensfeld in the Lichtenfels district .

geography

Dittersbrunn is about four kilometers east of Ebensfeld on the southern slope below the Ansberg . The Catholic branch and pilgrimage church of St. Veit is located on the Ansberg. A community road leads to Prächting . The Franconian Marienweg runs past Dittersbrunn .

history

Dittersbrunn was first mentioned in 1147 in the Bamberg Domnecrology from 1285–1287 with regard to taxes for St. Henry's Day as "de Ditrichsbrunne".

In 1801 the place had a community shepherd's house , 22 houses with barns and a drip house . The Lichtenfels Office was responsible for the high level of jurisdiction and taxes, while the feudal lordship and Vogteilichkeit belonged to the Bamberg Cathedral Chapter.

In 1862 the rural community of Dittersbrunn was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian District Office Staffelstein . and belonged to the District Court of Staffelstein. The hamlet Sträublingshof was part of the community . Since 1864 the place name has been Dittersbrunn, previously the place was called Dietersbrunn. In 1871 Dittersbrunn had 115 residents and 92 buildings. The Catholic school was in Prächting, 2.0 kilometers away, and the church in Ebensfeld, 3.5 kilometers away. In 1900, the two places of the rural community Dittersbrunn covered an area of ​​310.85 hectares. They had 144 residents, all of whom were Catholics, and 29 residential buildings. In Dittersbrunn 114 people lived in 25 residential buildings and in 1925 121 people lived in 22 residential buildings. The place had meanwhile been parish off to Prächting. In 1950 Dittersbrunn had 132 inhabitants and 22 residential buildings and was assigned to the Protestant parish in Staffelstein. In 1970 the village had 91 inhabitants and in 1987 86 inhabitants in 25 houses with 28 apartments.

On July 1, 1972, the Staffelstein district was dissolved. Dittersbrunn came to the Lichtenfels district . On January 1, 1978, the Dittersbrunn community was incorporated into Ebensfeld.

St. Veit on the Ansberg
  • The Catholic branch and pilgrimage church of St. Veit on the Ansberg was built from 1717 to 1719 by master bricklayer Andreas Reinthaler using yellow sandstone blocks based on plans by Johann Dientzenhofer . The three-axis, baroque hall has a slightly retracted choir . An eight-sided roof turret with a helmet and pommel sits at the seam between the nave and the choir . Around the church there is a wreath with 21 linden trees , the oldest closed linden wreath in Europe.
