Zaunsbach
Zaunsbach was a municipality in the Upper Franconian district of Forchheim .
The community was about 12.5 km east-northeast of Forchheim .
With the municipal edict in 1808 the tax district Zaunsbach was formed, to which Hundsboden , Hundshaupten , Schweinthal , Oberzaunsbach and Unterzaunsbach belonged. In the same year the rural community Zaunsbach was formed, which was congruent with the tax district. With the second community edict (1818), two rural communities were formed:
- Dog heads with dog bottom;
- Zaunsbach with Oberzaunsbach, Schweinthal and Unterzaunsbach.
The administration and jurisdiction of the municipality of Zaunsbach was subordinate to the district court Forchheim and the financial administration to the Rentamt Neunkirchen am Brand . In the voluntary jurisdiction, three properties in Schweintal were subordinate to the Egloffstein Patrimonial Court and one property to the Kunreuth PG and four properties to the Kunreuth PG in Unterzaunsbach. The municipality had an area of 7.227 km².
On May 1, 1978 it was dissolved in the course of the municipal reform, Schweinthal came to the municipality of Egloffstein , Ober- and Unterzaunsbach zu Pretzfeld .
