Unterzaunsbach is a district of the Pretzfeld market in the Forchheim district in Upper Franconia .

geography

The village is located in the Trubach Valley , about 4 km southeast of Pretzfeld. In the northeast the Wannbacher Berg ( 520  m above sea level ) rises , in the west the Rabenberg ( 463  m above sea level ).

history

1802 exercised the Bambergische Amt Ebermannstadt the high court and the village and community rule. The individual properties were subordinate to different landlords .

With the community edict, Unterzaunsbach was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Zaunsbach in 1808 . In the voluntary jurisdiction, four properties were subordinate to the Patrimonial Court of Kunreuth .

On May 1, 1978 this was dissolved in the course of the regional reform and the place was incorporated into Pretzfeld.

The place has been predominantly Protestant since the Reformation and belongs to the parish of St. Johannis (Wannbach) . The Catholics are parish to St. Jakobus (Leutenbach) .

traffic

Unterzaunsbach is located on State Road 2260 , which leads past Schweinthal (2 km southeast) to Egloffstein (5 km southeast) or to Wannbach (1 km northwest). The district road FO 6 leads to Oberzaunsbach (1 km southeast) and on to Hundshaupten (2 km south). The bridge over the Trubach was rebuilt in the village in 2013.
