Tiefenstürmig is a Franconian church village that belongs to Eggolsheim .

geography

The church village in the southwest of the Wiesentalb is one of 13 officially named districts of the Eggolsheim market in Upper Franconia . It is located about eight kilometers north-northeast of Eggolsheim at an altitude of 379  m above sea level. NHN .

history

Until the beginning of the 19th century, Tiefenstürmig was under the sovereignty of the Bamberg Monastery . The village and community rulership exercised its office Eggolsheim as bailiwick . This office was also entitled to the highest jurisdiction as a central office .

When the Bamberg Monastery was secularized as a result of the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss 1802/03 and annexed by the Electorate of Palatinate-Baiern in breach of the Imperial Constitution , Tiefenstürmig became part of the New Bavarian territories that were taken over by Napoleon's land consolidation .

As a result of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Tiefenstürmig became a rural community with the second municipal edict in 1818. In the course of the municipal regional reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, the municipality of Tiefenstürmig was incorporated into the Eggolsheim market on May 1, 1978. In 1987 Tiefenstürmig had 113 inhabitants.

The district road FO 5 coming from Götzendorf ends in the village and continues with a community connecting road running northeast. This leads in a steep ascent to the plateau of the Alb plateau. From there the places Kalteneggolsfeld , Volkmannsreuth and Dürrbrunn can be reached. The local public transport serves the village at a bus stop of the VGN bus line 220 in the direction of Forchheim and in the opposite direction to Eggolsheim. The closest train station on the Nuremberg – Bamberg line is in Eggolsheim.
