Bammersdorf is a Franconian village that belongs to Eggolsheim .

geography

The village is located in the Erlanger Albvorland and is one of 13 officially named districts of the Eggolsheim market in Upper Franconia . It is located about three kilometers south-southeast of the center of Eggolsheim at an altitude of 303  m above sea level. NHN .

history

Until the beginning of the 19th century, Bammersdorf was under the sovereignty of the Bamberg Monastery . The village and community rulership was exercised by the Bamberg office of Eggolsheim in its function as bailiwick office . The same office exercised the high jurisdiction of its role as Centamt .

When the bishopric of Bamberg was secularized as a result of the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss 1802/03 and annexed by the Electorate of Palatinate-Baiern in breach of the Reich constitution , Bammersdorf became part of the New Bavarian territories that were forcibly taken over during the Napoleonic land consolidation .

As a result of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Bammersdorf became a rural community with the Second Community Edict in 1818, to which Jägersburg Castle had also belonged. In the course of the municipal regional reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, the municipality of Bammersdorf was incorporated into the Eggolsheim market on July 1, 1972. In 1987 Bammersdorf had 683 inhabitants.

The district road FO 1 coming from the state road St 2244 crosses the village and continues to Jägersburg, where it joins the district road FO 17 . The public transport operates the village on a stop of the bus line 266 of the VGN towards Forchheim and in the opposite direction to Eggolsheim. The closest train stations on the Nuremberg – Bamberg railway line are in Eggolsheim and Forchheim.
