history

The Oberhof can be proven with certainty from 1366. With its seat in Ober-Ingelheim , it had jurisdiction over Nieder-Ingelheim , Ober-Ingelheim , Groß-Winternheim and all places of the Ingelheimer Grund . As a court of appeal, it was the closest instance for over 60 locations in a wide area.

The court was originally occupied by 14 nobles and farmers from the Ingelheimer Grund . Over time, however, the number of noble members increased sharply.

In 1680 the Oberhof was dissolved by the Palatinate Court Court .
