coat of arms
The municipality of Fürfeld has had this municipal coat of arms since 1973. The design follows a court seal from 1614 and shows in field 1 (top left = heraldic right ) a golden crown of leaves in red, in field 2 (top right = heraldic left) 2 rows of blue monkshood fehs in silver, in field 3 (bottom left = heraldic right) a split eagle in gold, in field 4 three (heraldic) slanted silver buckles in red. Fields 1 and 2 represent the von Cronberg family , field 3 for membership of the imperial knighthood, field 4 for the Boos von Waldeck. Not to be confused with the Marshals von Waldeck, who also lived at Iben Castle. But their tribe died out as early as 1553. In 1614 Iben already belonged to the Cronbergers, who were also court lords in Fürfeld and are therefore correctly represented twice in the coat of arms. The judges were also the Boos von Waldeck.
