Allenfeld is a municipality in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Rüdesheim .

Allenfeld is located in the southern Hunsrück , between the Soonwald and the Gauchswald .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1438 as Aldenfeld . Allenfeld belonged to the Hinteren Grafschaft Sponheim and was assigned to the Margraviate of Baden when the Sponheim possessions were divided in 1776 . After the Left Bank of the Rhine was taken by French revolutionary troops (1794), the place belonged to the canton of Stromberg in the Rhine-Moselle department from 1798 to 1814 . A participant in the Congress of Vienna agreements reached the region and thus Allenfeld 1815 came to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1816 the county Kreuznach in Koblenz assigned, that of 1822 to the Rhine province belonged.

Culture and sights

A highlight point is the cycle path on the routes of the former Kreuznacher Kleinbahnen , which is the on one side Gräfenbach along meanders and on the other hand, the Ellerbachtal runs along.
