In 1112, Jutta von Sponheim (around 1092–1136), Hildegard von Bingen (1098–1179) and another girl entered a women's cell in the Benedictine monastery on Disibodenberg that was specially set up for them . Regardless of her nickname "von Bingen", Hildegard stayed on the Disibodenberg near Odernheim for most of her life. In 1147, after a vision, Hildegard advocated building a convent for women on the Rupertsberg at the confluence of the Nahe and Rhine rivers near Bingen . She wanted to move there with the growing group of women from the Benedictine monastery on Disibodenberg.
