Hallgarten (Palatinate)

Hallgarten is a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland-Palatinate ( Germany ). It belongs to the Bad Kreuznach community .

geography

Hallgarten is about ten kilometers southwest of the city of Bad Kreuznach and southeast of the city of Bad Sobernheim . The Lemberg rises three kilometers to the northwest .

history

The Montfort Castle near Hallgarten was first mentioned in 1236. The place was first mentioned as Hargarten in 1391 . In 1768 he came to the Electoral Palatinate . In 1798 it was incorporated into the French department of Donnersberg . Hallgarten was Bavarian from 1816 to 1945 .

The Dreiweiherhof served Schinderhannes as a hiding place and port of call from 1797.
