The district court of Bergen auf Rügen was a court of the ordinary jurisdiction of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the district of the district court of Stralsund . As a result of the reform of the court structure , the Bergen auf Rügen District Court was repealed on November 23, 2015 and converted into a branch of the Stralsund District Court .

    The judicial district was about 978  km 2 and had about 64,000 inhabitants. With the dissolution of the court, all cities and municipalities were incorporated into the district of the Stralsund District Court .

    With the conversion of the local court into a branch of the local court in Stralsund, the jurisdiction of the regional court of Stralsund and the higher regional court of Rostock remains.
