The district court of Anklam was a court of the ordinary jurisdiction of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the district of the district court of Stralsund . As a result of the judicial structural reform that came into force on October 6, 2014 , the Anklam District Court was repealed and converted into a branch in the Pasewalk District Court district .

    The branch is located at Baustraße 9 in the Lilienthalcenter on Anklamer Markt, where the district court was previously located.

    The previous building of the district court was at Friedländer Straße 14 . The listed building is now used by the Anklam Police Department.

    Superior courts

    The district court of Stralsund was superordinate to the district court of Anklam . The competent higher regional court was the higher regional court in Rostock .

    The district court of Neubrandenburg and the higher regional court of Rostock are superordinate to the Pasewalk district court and thus also to the Anklam branch . Only for the cities and municipalities that have been incorporated into the district of the Greifswald District Court does the Stralsund District Court remain responsible.
