In 1808, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, a regional court (older order) was established in Feuchtwangen. With the entry into force of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court in Feuchtwangen was formed, the district of which was identical to that of the previous district court Feuchtwangen . The Feuchtwangen District Court existed until 1973. The district court of the dissolved Feuchtwangen District Court was assigned to the Ansbach District Court .

Courthouse

The former district court building in Feuchtwangen at Ringstrasse 72 is a representative administrative building. The two-storey hipped roof building with a central projection with the national coat of arms, corner pilasters and structures in natural stone was built in historic, neo-classical forms in 1891.

The former prison in Ringstrasse 66 (belonging to the district court) is a two-storey eaves saddle roof building with plastered structure and stair frieze, probably around 1827. The surrounding wall (approx. 4 m high) was mostly demolished at the end of the 20th century.
