The district court of Waldkirchen was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Waldkirchen in Bavaria from 1879 to 1973 .

history

Until 1803 the area of ​​today's Freyung-Grafenau district belonged in parts to the Passau bishopric . The main place of the Hochstiftischen Abteiland was the market Waldkirchen, which was located directly on one of the main paths of the Golden Steige. In 1806, the Bavarian regional court district Wolfstein was set up with its seat at Wolfstein Castle in the rural community of Ort. He belonged to the Lower Danube District (from 1838 Lower Bavaria ). The district office Wolfenstein included in 1862 the communities of the District Court order earlier Wolfenstein. In addition, there were the communities ceded to the newly formed district court of the older order Waldkirchen, including the eight communities spun off from the district court district Wegscheid . With the entry into force of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the District Court of Waldkirchen became a district court in Waldkirchen. The district court of Waldkirchen existed until the district reform in 1973. The district of the dissolved district court of Waldkirchen was assigned to the district court of Freyung .
