Regional Court of Passau
The Passau Regional Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction . It is one of 22 regional courts in the Free State of Bavaria .
history
After the transition from the Hochstift Passau to the Kingdom of Bavaria , a so-called regional court (older order) was set up in Passau in addition to the district and city court . On October 9, 1838, the former Passau Regional Court, which was subordinate to the Passau District and City Court, was divided into the two Regional Court districts Passau I and Passau II. In 1879, in the course of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act, the previous Passau City Court was merged with the previous Passau I and Passau II regional courts to form the Passau District Court . The forerunner of today's regional court is the Bavarian district court (Bayern) Passau, founded in 1857 , which was converted into a regional court at the same time in 1879 .
