The Vilshofen District Court was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1973 and was based in the city of Vilshofen in Bavaria . Until 2005 it was still a branch of the Passau District Court .

history

As a result of the administrative reforms of 1803 in Bavaria , the district court (older order) Vilshofen was established, parts of which were transferred to the newly formed district court Osterhofen in 1840 . The district office of Vilshofen was formed in 1862 through the merger of the regional courts of the older order Osterhofen and Vilshofen in terms of administrative law. The Vilshofen District Court remained as the judicial authority and was renamed the Vilshofen District Court with the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act in 1879. After the war-related downgrading of the Osterhofen District Court to a branch of the Vilshofen District Court and the official confirmation of this measure in 1956, the Osterhofen District Court was repealed by an ordinance of the Bavarian State Minister of Justice on July 1, 1959. After the Vilshofen district was dissolved, the district court in Vilshofen was also dissolved in 1973 and the district was assigned to the district court of Passau . Until June 1, 2005 it was still a branch of the Passau District Court .

The court district originally included 22 communities: Aidenbach , Albersdorf (now part of Vilshofen), Aldersbach , Alkofen , Aunkirchen , Beutelsbach , Garham , Haidenburg , Hilgartsberg , Hofkirchen , Iglbach , Kirchberg , Königbach (now part of Ortenburg), Ortenburg , Otterskirchen , Pleinting , Rathsmannsdorf , Söldenau , Vilshofen, Walchsing , Windorf and Zeitlarn (district of Vilshofen), from 1880 the municipality of Eging was added. The municipalities of Aholming , Aicha an der Donau , Altenmarkt , Anning , Buchhofen , Forsthart , Galgweis , Gergweis , Göttersdorf , Kirchdorf bei Osterhofen , Künzing , Langenamming , Langenisarhofen , Moos , Neusling , Neutiefenweg , Niedermünchsdorf , Niederpöring , Oberndorf , came from the Osterhofen district court in 1959 . Oberpöring , Osterhofen, Ottmaring , Ramsdorf , Wallerfing and Wisselsing were added.
