history
In the Stranzinger Acker in Walchsing , evidence of the Celts' settlement from the La Tène period was discovered, but finds in neighboring Kriestorf indicate that the area was already settled in the Neolithic period.
In the early 8th century, the Mondsee Monastery received ownership in Walchsing. Around 750 an Irimpald gave his property to Waltkising (from the personal name Waltkiso) to the monastery. A few years later, Wolfperht zu Waltkising also donated the third part of his possessions to the Mondsee Monastery.
In the 12th century the place appears under the names Waltchesing , Waltgesing and Walchsingen . At that time the gentlemen von Walchsing sat here. Ascwin de Waltgesing gave an estate to the St. Nikola monastery near Passau around 1115 , and Konrad de Walcxingen gave an estate to the Aldersbach monastery around 1160 . Until the end of the 13th century, the nobles von Walchsing were donated as witnesses.
In 1260 the canon Magister Herwig bought goods in Walczing and gave them to the Aldersbach monastery. At the beginning of the 15th century, Walchsing belonged to the Counts of Neuenkollberg, from whom the brothers Christoph and Hanns Goder bought it in 1424.
The nobles of Gor took their seat in Walchsing and practiced on the four associated goods Lower jurisdiction of. They were raised to the rank of imperial count in the 18th century. In 1790, with the extinction of the last male Count von Goder, their property fell to the state. In the same year the Aldersbach monastery bought the seat with Schönerting and Kriestorf for 58,000 guilders and kept it until the secularization in 1803. The castle was soon partially demolished and converted into a farmhouse.
In 1818 the rural community of Walchsing was established by the Vilshofen district court . In addition to Walchsing, the community included Ammerreuth, Beiglöd, Duschlöd, Gainstorf, Grüneröd, Haag, Harreröd, Hiendlöd, Hirt, Hütter, Kramersepp, Kriestorf, Maierhof, Meiering, Neustift, Niederöd, Reuth, Röslöd, Seier, Vogler, Weidfeld and Wetzstein . As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Walchsing voluntarily merged with the municipalities of Aldersbach, Pörndorf and Haidenburg to form the new large municipality of Aldersbach in 1972. From an ecclesiastical point of view, Walchsing was originally a branch of Galgweis, became an expositur in 1861 and a parish in 1902.
