The District Court of Ellingen was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1932 and was based in the city of Ellingen .

history

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was established in Ellingen, its district

was formed. The higher authority was the Eichstätt Regional Court .

With effect from January 1, 1932, the Ellingen District Court was repealed. From its district, on the one hand, the communities of Gundelsheim and Wachenhofen were assigned to the Gunzenhausen district court , while the remaining places were assigned to the Weißenburg district court in Bavaria .

Courthouse

The court was located in a building that now serves as a pharmacy at Neue Gasse 1. The two-story mansard roof building from 1761 is a listed building. Special features are in the eastern part of the house the arched portal with volute top , in the northern part of the building, however, the rusticated ground floor and the accentuated central axis with triangular gable.
