Mannholz is a district of the market Pleinfeld in the Middle Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . It is located at an altitude of 476 m above sea level.
The village is about 7 km east of Pleinfeld. Near Mannholz are the springs of Haselgraben , Erbsengraben and Wildwurmgraben , which flow together west of Mannholz at Iglsee to Iglseebach . To the west of Mannholz, the Tannenloh forest area extends to the village. Neighboring towns are Walting and Liebenstadt . The main street of the village is the district road WUG 17 .
The St. Marien village chapel is made of sandstone and was built in 1873 with a gable roof and turret . Besides this chapel , the only monuments in Mannholz are the single- storey Mannholz 19 stable house with a pitched roof, which was built around 1870 together with his barn with a pitched roof , and the one-storey Mannholz 13 farmhouse with a pitched sandstone roof, also built around 1870. Around Mannholz there are several burial mounds , open-air stations from the Mesolithic and settlements from the Neolithic , the Urnfield Age , the Latène Age and Prehistory .
On January 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality of Mannholz was incorporated into Markt Pleinfeld.
