Dorsbrunn is a district of the market Pleinfeld in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . Before the Bavarian municipality reform , which came into force on January 1, 1972, Dorsbrunn was an independent municipality together with its then part of the municipality of Tiefenbach . Tiefenbach was reclassified to Ellingen .
Dorsbrunn is located between Pleinfeld and Stopfenheim , about three kilometers south of the Great Bromb axis and about six kilometers from Pleinfeld . The Raetian Limes ran about one kilometer north of the village . There are parts of a reconstructed watchtower. As a section of the German Limes trail leads Limes hiking trail through Dorsbrunn.
The Catholic St. Nicholas Church , a branch church of Stopfenheim , dates from the 12th century. The late medieval building was redesigned in the late Baroque style in 1767 . The church has three altars and is surrounded by a cemetery.
The school system in Dorsbrunn was reported in detail in 1812, even the plan of the school building is printed in the report.
One of the four kindergartens in the Pleinfeld community is located in Dorsbrunn, the Catholic Kindergarten St. Nikolaus.
