Gündersbach is a district of the market Pleinfeld in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .
geography
The place is located in the Franconian Lake District at an altitude of around 420 m above sea level between Tiefenbach and St. Veit , around 2 km southwest of Pleinfeld. There is also the source of the Hinteres Troppelgraben .
history
In 1254 Gündersbach was first mentioned as Gundrichsbach or Gunrichsbach . At that time the village came to the Teutonic Order . In 1325, the Eichstätter Bishop Gunrichspach transferred it to a knight by the name of Heinrich Hausen . In 1355 it was sold to the Deutschordensballei Franken in Ellingen and so came back to the Teutonic Order. The high court exercised the principality of Ansbach .
The former district of St. Veit was incorporated into Pleinfeld on January 1, 1972.
In March 2018, the villagers started building a village community center in the town center. For this purpose, the three-fold parish house (consisting of fire station, Waaghäusle and bus stop) was demolished. The topping-out ceremony for a new building was celebrated on October 2, 2018.
