history

In 1810, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, an older district court was established in Trostberg. On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court in Trostberg was established, whose district consists of the entire district of the Trostberg district court, which was repealed at the same time, with the towns of Albertaich , Altenmarkt an der Alz , Breitbrunn am Chiemsee , Chiemsee , Eggstätt , Emertsham , Engelsberg , Gstadt am Chiemsee , Kienberg , Kirchstätt , Oberfeldkirchen , Obing , Pittenhart , Rabenden , Schnaitsee , Seebruck , Seeon , Stein an der Traun , Tacherting , Trostberg and Waldhausen along with the communities of Heiligkreuz and Lindach, which were handed over by the Tittmoning district court . The next higher instance was the Traunstein Regional Court . On January 1, 1900, Breitbrunn, Chiemsee, Eggstätt and Gstadt were separated from the Trostberg district court and assigned to the Prien district court district.

The municipality of Traunreut , formed on October 1, 1950 from parts of the municipalities Palling ( Laufen district court ), Pierling, Traunwalchen (both Traunstein district court) and Stein an der Traun, was assigned to the Trostberg district court.

When the law on the organization of ordinary courts in the Free State of Bavaria (GerOrgG) came into force on July 1, 1973, the Trostberg District Court was dissolved and its district assigned to the Traunstein District Court .
