The Laufen district court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of 73 district courts in Bavaria . It has the district of Berchtesgadener Land as a court district and its seat in Laufen .

history

Ever since the early Middle Ages there was a run in jurisdiction , the district court running . From 1234 on, the city judges were also district judges of the Salzburg district court. When it belonged to the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1810, Laufen received an older Bavarian regional court , as it was in the rest of Bavaria in 1802. The division of justice and administration did not take place until 1862. From 1862 the old district court building was built in Rottmayrstrasse.

With the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act, as in all of Bavaria, the previous regional court was renamed the District Court on October 1, 1879 . The area of responsibility extended over the then district office of Laufen , which in 1938, as in the whole of the Reich, was named district. In the course of the redesign of the districts in 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the district courts of Berchtesgaden and Bad Reichenhall were dissolved and in December 1975 the district court district of Laufen was re-established within the boundaries of what is now the district of Berchtesgadener Land. In 1980 the company moved to today's main building, the former district office of the district of Laufen.
