The district court Tittmoning was a 1810 to 1879 existing regional court , headquartered in the city of Tittmoning . The district of the Tittmoning Regional Court included Asten , Freutsmoos , Fridolfing , Heiligkreuz , Kay , Kirchheim , Lindach , Palling , Pietling , Tengling , Tettenhausen , Tittmoning, Törring and Tyrlaching .

history

Tittmoning was developed as a former Salzburg city with the seat of a nursing court against the Bavarian cities Burghausen and Neuötting and only came provisionally in 1810 and finally in 1816 after the Congress of Vienna together with the " Rupertiwinkel ".

The " Regional Court of the Elderly Order ", which has been based in Tittmoning since 1810, was a state administrative unit of the lower level in Bavaria until 1862, with administrative tasks similar to those of today's rural districts . At the same time, the regional court of the older order was also the judicial organ of the lower jurisdiction and thus the entrance instance of the ordinary jurisdiction , comparable to today's district court . But it also performed tasks of the higher judiciary (like today's regional courts ) and performed notarial activities.

The function of the regional courts as an administrative authority and at the same time a judicial body was viewed as a structural flaw in the Bavarian constitution , as it affected judicial independence . In addition to his office as judge, the judge was bound by instructions through his simultaneous function as an administrative officer. To remedy this deficiency, the Judiciary Act was passed on January 10, 1861. This law made it possible to separate the judiciary and administration. The administrative tasks were separated from the regional courts and transferred to the newly created district offices . The remaining institutions for the administration of justice initially retained the designation of the regional court. On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the Tittmoning District Court was established , the district of which was formed from the previous Tittmoning District Court district, with the exception of two localities (Lindach, Heilig Kreuz) that were handed over to the Trostberg District Court .

building

The building of the former regional court, a stately three-story corner building, is located at Stadtplatz 2 a – 2 b. The monument, which consists of two parts of the building with a shared classical facade and a flat hipped roof, is still partly medieval in its core, probably 13th / 14th. Century, the remaining parts were built in the late 16th and 19th centuries.
