Tengling

Tengling is a district of the municipality of Taching am See in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein .

history

Parish Church of St. Laurentius

The parish village is first mentioned in the late 8th century as "Tengihilinga" in the Notitia Arnonis . The Sigharding family named themselves in the 11th century after the castle that existed in the village (see Grafschaft Tengling ) until they later settled in Burghausen . In 1328 the Lords of Törring were awarded the Hofmark Törring-Tengling by the Bishop of Salzburg .
