Care court

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nursing court was a Bavarian , Austrian and Salzburg administrative institution of the lower level from the 15th to the early 19th century, endowed with sovereign power. In the course of the Middle Ages, the nursing courts in Austria and Salzburg became regional courts , i.e. administrative districts, from 1802 also in Bavaria .

A nursing court was presided over by a nurse , sometimes also called a judge . He exercised civil administration, police force, criminal law and military direction.

The Schrannen (village courts of the first instance) were subordinate, as were the parishes (administrative districts of the first instance) - the (political) communities did not develop until the early 19th century.
