Oberfeldkirchen is a rural town in the northern district of Traunstein . Since 1978 it has been a district of the Upper Bavarian city of Trostberg .

history

The local parish church of St. Thomas Ap. is a late Gothic Nagelfluh block building from the 15th century. It was partially changed in the 17th and 18th centuries. In 2015/16 restoration work took place on the high and both side altars. With the Bavarian municipal edict of 1818, the political municipality Oberfeldkirchen was established, which had belonged to the district of Traunstein since 1862 . On May 1, 1978, the municipality was incorporated into the city of Trostberg as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
