District Court Oschatz

The district court of Oschatz was a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of a total of 30 district courts in the Free State of Saxony .

Seat and District of the Court

The judicial district of the district court Oschatz comprised the municipalities Cavertitz , Dahlen , Liebschützberg , Mügeln , Naundorf , Oschatz , Sornzig-Ablaß and Wermsdorf from the former Torgau-Oschatz district ( Section 1 (4), Annex No. 22 of the Saxon Justice Act). The court had its seat in 04758 Oschatz, Brüderstraße 5.

organization

Katja Kohlschmid (* 1965) has been the director of the local court since October 15, 2008 . The predecessor from 2003 to 2008 was Klaus Denk (* 1958), who is now the presiding judge at the Dresden Higher Regional Court.

Superior courts

The district court of Oschatz was directly superior to the district court of Leipzig . The competent higher regional court was the higher regional court in Dresden .

Saxon judicial reform

As part of the Saxon administrative and judicial reform due to be implemented in 2012, the Oschatz District Court was closed on December 31, 2012. The Torgau District Court opened a branch in Oschatz on January 1, 2013.
