The district court of Waldsassen was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1973 and was based in the town of Waldsassen .

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was established in Waldsassen, the district of which was identical to the former district of Waldsassen and thus made up of the villages of Fuchsmühl , Großensees , Grossensterz , Groschlattengrün , Kondrau , Konnersreuth , Lengenfeld bei Groschlattengrün , Leonberg , Mitterteich , Münchenreuth , Neualbenreuth , Ottengrün , Pechofen , Pfaffenreuth , Pleußen , Querenbach , Rodenzenreuth , Schönhaid , Voitenthan , Walbenreuth , Waldershof , Waldsassen, Wernersreuth and Wiesau . The higher-level instances were the Weiden Regional Court and the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court .

With the abolition of the Erbendorf District Court on October 1, 1929, the Waldsassen District Court district expanded to include Bärnhöhe , Friedenfels , Helmbrechts , Hohenhard and Poppenreuth .

When the Law on the Organization of Ordinary Courts in the Free State of Bavaria (GerOrgG) came into force on July 1, 1973, the Waldsassen District Court was repealed and incorporated into the district of the Tirschenreuth District Court .
