The district court of Auerbach in the Upper Palatinate was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1956 and was based in the city of Auerbach in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

history

In 1841 23 communities were separated from the Bavarian regional court Eschenbach , which came to the newly founded regional court Auerbach . In 1862, the Eschenbach District Office was formed through the merger of the Auerbach and Eschenbach district courts. The Auerbach Regional Court remained as the court authority and was renamed the Auerbach Local Court with the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act in 1879. After the war-related conversion of the District Court into a branch of the Eschenbach District Court, the District Court was finally repealed in 1956 and the court district was assigned to the Eschenbach District Court in Upper Palatinate .

Courthouse

The former district court building is a three-storey, two-wing, plastered solid construction with a hipped roof, sandstone structure and portal, corner bay window, gables, roof turrets and stair tower in the neo-Renaissance style. It was built towards the end of the 19th century at the same time as an enclosure wall.
