The Nassau District Court was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in the city of Nassau .

With section 12 of the ordinance of February 22, 1867, after the annexation of Nassau by Prussia, the separation of jurisdiction from administration was ordered. This was not given before in the Duchy of Nassau . The offices were both administrative districts and courts of first instance. The Nassau office existed in Nassau . With ordinances of June 26, 1867 and August 21, 1867, the judicial function was transferred to the newly created district courts , including the Nassau district court. The Nassau District Court was initially subordinate to the Limburg District Court .

In addition to Nassau, the municipalities of Attenhausen , Bergnassau , Scheuren , Bremberg , Gutenacker , Kördorf , Lollschied , Niedertiefenbach , Obernhof , Pohl , Roth , Seelbach and Kalkofen , Singhofen , Weinähr and Winden belong to the judicial district of the Nassau District Court .

On October 1, 1879, the changes to the Courts Constitution Act came into force. The Nassau District Court remained and the Limburg District Court became the Limburg District Court .

Due to the war, the Nassau District Court was closed in 1943 and its tasks were taken over by the Bad Ems District Court . After the end of the war, the Nassau District Court was reopened.

Since Rennerod was assigned to Rhineland-Palatinate after 1945 and Limburg an der Lahn to Hesse , the Nassau district court was assigned to the judicial district of the Koblenz district court .
