history

prehistory

In the Duchy of Nassau , civil matters were first ruled by the offices, in this case the Runkel office . Justice and administration were not separate.

After the March Revolution in 1848, the administration was reorganized. By law of April 4, 1849, administration and jurisdiction were separated at a lower level in Nassau. The reform came into effect on July 1, 1849. 10 district offices were established for administration , the offices continued as judicial offices (i.e. courts of first instance). The administrative tasks of the Runkel office were carried out by the Limburg district office , the jurisdiction of the Runkel judicial office . However, the reform was reversed on October 1, 1854, the districts abolished and the previous offices restored.

Judges during this time were:

  • Cuntz (judicial administrator) 1849–1851
  • Wilhelm Usener (1851 administrator of the judiciary) 1851–1854

District Court

After the annexation of the Duchy of Nassau by the Prussian state , a royal decree was issued in June 1867 which repealed the previous Nassau judicial authorities, some of which also performed administrative functions, and replaced them with local courts in the first, district courts in the second and an appeal court in the third. As a result, the Prussian Ministry of Justice ordered the establishment of a district court in Runkel on September 1, 1867, the district of which was formed from the Runkel office and thus from the town of Runkel and the villages of Arfurt , Aumenau , Blessenbach , Ennerich , Eschenau , Falkenbach , Gaudernbach , and Heckholzhausen , Hofen , Langhecke , Laubuseschbach , Münster , Obertiefenbach , Schadeck , Schupbach , Seelbach , Steeden , Villmar , Weyer , Wirbelau and Wolfenhausen .

This dish belonged initially to the district of the District Court Limburg , came about because of the Judicature Act , effective October 1, 1879 change in the district of the newly established District Court Limburg , the district of the local court but even did not change.

With effect from January 1, 1933, the community of Niedertiefenbach was assigned from the district of Hadamar District Court .

On July 1, 1968, the Runkel District Court was dissolved and its entire district was added to the Weilburg District Court .
