Melinoe

Melinoe ( Greek : Μηλινόη) is a nymph in the underworld in Greek mythology . The 71st hymn of the Orphic Hymns is dedicated to her.

Melinoe is the daughter of Zeus and Persephone and was conceived by Zeus taking the form of Persephone's husband Hades . She was born at the mouth of the underworld river Kokytos . At night it haunts people with ghostly apparitions and drives them crazy.
