Langenbergstrasse 1–3 (Quedlinburg)
The group of houses Langenbergstrasse 1-3 is a monument in Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .
location
It is located immediately south at the foot of the Munzenberg , west of Quedlinburg city center and is listed in the Quedlinburg monument register. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site .
Architecture and history
What was particularly noteworthy about the group of houses was their striking urban layout. It pulled itself in an arc along the foot of the Munzenberg. However, the westernmost house in the group of houses, number 3, was demolished at the beginning of the 21st century.
Only numbers 1 and 2 remained, but they do not reproduce the arch. They were built as a two-story half - timbered building in the second half of the 19th century. Andrew's crosses can be found on the facade . The doors and windows also match the original appearance. Building number 3, which has not been preserved, was built as a late classical plastered, also two-storey building.
