The District Court of Bischofsheim an der Rhön was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1959 and was based in the town of Bischofsheim an der Rhön .

history

Bischofsheim an der Rhön had already been the seat of a prince-bishop's bailiff . An older Bavarian regional court had existed since 1804 . On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was formed in Bischofsheim, the district of which was identical to the previous district court district of Bischofsheim and thus the places Bischofsheim an der Rhön, Burgwallbach , Frankenheim , Ginolfs , Haselbach in der Rhön , Langenleiten , Oberelsbach , Oberweißbrunn , Sandberg , Schmalwasser , Schönau an der Brend , Sondernau , Unterelsbach , Unterweißbrunn , Waldberg , Wegfurt and Weisbach included. The higher authority was the Schweinfurt Regional Court .

After the war-related downgrading of the District Court of Bischofsheim an der Rhön to a branch of the District Court of Bad Neustadt an der Saale and the official confirmation of this measure in 1956, the Bischofsheim Court was finally repealed by an ordinance of the Bavarian State Minister of Justice on July 1, 1959.
