The Mindelheim District Court was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1973 and was based in Mindelheim .

history

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act, a district court was formed in Mindelheim on October 1, 1879, the district of which was identical to the previous regional court district of Mindelheim .

In 1970 the district court of Türkheim was dissolved and the judicial district was assigned to the district court of Mindelheim.

When the law on the organization of ordinary courts in the Free State of Bavaria (GerOrgG) came into force on July 1, 1973, the district court of Mindelheim de jure was dissolved and temporarily continued as a branch of the district court of Memmingen:

"The Mindelheim District Court is to be continued as a branch office for the time being until further offices have been created for the District Court in Memmingen."

The district court in Mindelheim was finally dissolved in 1978.

Superior courts

The regional court of Memmingen , the Higher Regional Court of Munich and the Federal Court of Justice were superordinate in the instance .

Seat

The seat of the local court at Bahnhofstrasse 18 in Mindelheim is a listed (Az. D-7-78-173-5) stately, two-storey corner building with a flat hipped roof, corner and central projections, built in neo-Renaissance forms in 1898.
