Neckarbischofsheim District Court

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The district court Neckarbischofsheim was from 1857 to 1972 initially a grand-ducal-Baden , then Baden-Württemberg district court with seat in Neckarbischofsheim . The higher court was initially the Mannheim court and from 1864 the Heidelberg district court .

The district office Neckarbischofsheim had since its inception both the function of an administrative authority and that of the Court of First Instance. In 1857 the administration and administration of justice at the lower level were separated from each other. The district offices were purely administrative units, the jurisdiction was taken over by local courts.

The Neckarbischofsheim court was initially one of 19 district courts in the Lower Rhine district of Baden . In the grand ducal era it was manned by a magistrate, a registrar, an actuary, two decopists, a prison guard and two bailiffs. The city dungeon at the upper city gate was used as the official prison. The court district comprised 16 parishes.

The Neckarbischofsheim district court that was created in this way was repealed in 1872. The court district was assigned to that of the Sinsheim district court .

In 1884 the Neckarbischofsheim District Court was separated from the Sinsheim District Court and rebuilt. It was based in the district court building built in 1883. As part of the regional reform in Baden-Württemberg , the district court was finally closed. In 1975 the last employees moved to the Sinsheim District Court.
