Koenigsberg Higher Regional Court
The higher regional court in Königsberg was a higher court in East Prussia . The seat was Königsberg (Prussia) . The Higher Regional Court has followed the tradition of the former Higher Appeal Court in Königsberg, founded in 1657 , since the Reich Justice Acts came into force .
Subordinate courts
On October 1, 1879, six regional courts with 70 local courts belonged to the higher regional court district of Königsberg ; as early as 1882 another district court was added in Wischwill and by dividing the Tilsit district court, the new district court district Memel was created in 1885; since then the number of courts - until the loss of Prussian Lithuania and Soldau - remained unchanged:
- Allenstein (10) - Allenstein, Gilgenburg , Hohenstein , Neidenburg , Ortelsburg , Osterode , Passenheim , Soldau (ceded to Poland in 1920), Wartenburg and Willenberg
- Bartenstein (17) - Barten (Rastenburg district) , Bartenstein, Bischofsburg , Bischofstein , Domnau , Friedland , Gerdauen , Guttstadt , Heilsberg , Kreuzburg , Landsberg , Nordenburg , Preußisch Eylau , Rastenburg , Rößel , Schippenbeil and Seeburg
- Braunsberg (10) - Braunsberg, Heiligenbeil , Liebstadt , Mehlsack , Mohrungen , Mühlhausen , Prussian Holland , Saalfeld (East Prussia) , Wormditt and Zinten
- Insterburg (6) - Darkehmen , Goldap , Gumbinnen , Insterburg , Pillkallen and Stallupönen
- Königsberg (8) - Allenburg , Fischhausen , Königsberg, Labiau , Mehlauken , Pillau , Tapiau and Wehlau
- Lyck (10) - Angerburg , Arys , Bialla , Johannisburg , Lötzen , Lyck , Marggrabowa , Nikolaiken , Rhein and Sensburg
- Tilsit (6) - Heinrichswalde , Kaukehmen , Ragnit , Skaisgirren , Tilsit and Wischwill
- Memel (4) - Heydekrug, Memel, Prökuls, Ruß.
In January 1945, the regional court districts of Zichenau and Bialystock , which were actually being dissolved, were briefly assigned to the Königsberg Higher Regional Court .
In the final phase of the Second World War , evacuated parts of the court staff in Rostock and from February 24, 1945 in Schwerin were moved to a “collection point for the judiciary from the Königsberg franking area”.

Significant proceedings
1842 Johann Jacoby for treason to two and a half years and "cheeky, irreverent censure of state laws" imprisonment convicted.
In 1904 the Königsberg secret society trial against Otto Braun and others took place at the Königsberg regional court .
