District Court of Roth

The District Court of Roth (also called District Court of Roth near Nuremberg ) was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1970 and was based in the city of Roth .

history

On October 1, 1879, on the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act in Bavaria, a district court of Roth was established, whose district consists of the municipalities of Abenberg , Aurau , Belmbrach , Bernlohe , Eckersmühlen , Georgensgmünd , Großweingarten , Mäbenberg , Mosbach , Obersteinbach ob Gmünd, which were previously part of the Roth regional court district , Petersgmünd , Pfaffenhofen , Rittersbach , Roth, Rothaurach , Spalt , Wallesau and Wernfels as well as the municipalities of Beerbach , Dürrenmungenau , Hergersbach , Untereschenbach , Wassermungenau and Winkelhaid , which until then belonged to the district court district Heilsbronn . The superordinate instance was the Nuremberg Regional Court , which had called itself Nuremberg-Fürth Regional Court since April 1, 1932.

Effective January 1, 1970, the district court of Roth near Nuremberg was repealed, the district of which has now been added to the district court of Schwabach .

Courthouse

The court was housed in a three-story brick building with sandstone structures at Hilpoltsteiner Strasse 30 / 30a, which is now the police station and job center. The house, built in 1890/91, is a listed building.
