The Regional Court of Roth was a Bavarian regional court of the older order that existed from 1858 to 1879 and was based in Roth in what is now the district of Roth . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

The Roth regional court bordered the Schwabach regional court in the north, the Hilpoltstein regional court in the east, the Ellingen regional court in the south, the Gunzenhausen regional court in the southwest and the Heilsbronn regional court in the west .

In 1858 the seat of the Pleinfeld Regional Court was moved to Roth. It belonged to the Rezatkreis , which was renamed Middle Franconia in 1838. 1871 212 comprised square kilometers large District Court the 20 municipalities Abenberg , Aurau , Belmbrach , Bernlohe , Büchenbach , Eckersmühlen , Fünfbronn , Georgensgmuend , Großweingarten , Mäbenberg , Mosbach , Obersteinbach whether Gmünd , Peter Gmünd , Pfaffenhofen , Ritter Bach , Roth, Rothaurach , gap , Wallesau and Wernfels with a resident population of 13500 in 77 villages.

On October 1, 1879, on the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act in Bavaria, the District Court of Roth was established, whose district consists of the municipalities of Abenberg, Aurau, Belmbrach, Bernlohe, Eckersmühlen, Georgensgmünd, Großweingarten, Mäbenberg, Mosbach, Obersteinbach ob Gmünd, which previously belonged to the regional court district of Roth, Petersgmünd, Pfaffenhofen, Rittersbach, Roth, Rothaurach, Spalt, Wallesau and Wernfels as well as the communities of Beerbach , Dürrenmungenau , Hergersbach , Untereschenbach , Wassermungenau and Winkelhaid , which until then belonged to the Heilsbronn District Court .
