The District Court of Dresden was a district court in the GDR with its seat in Dresden .

By October 2, adopted in 1952 Judiciary Act of the GDR were in the GDR at the level which was established in July 1952 districts the district courts established. The District Court of Dresden replaced the previous District Court of Dresden . The seat of the district court was initially taken over by the dissolved district court, it was located on Münchner Platz . In 1956 the company moved to the courthouse on Sachsenplatz . On April 25, 1963, the Dresden District Labor Court was dissolved, and the District Court was given its jurisdiction as in the entire GDR.

The district courts were subordinate to the district court at the district level. The following district courts were within the jurisdiction of the Dresden District Court:

The district courts essentially followed the boundaries of the GDR districts . In the urban district of Dresden, the district courts were divided into the five city districts. The urban district of Görlitz belonged to the district court of Görlitz. The Supreme Court of the GDR was subordinate to the Dresden District Court .

The District Court of Dresden was dissolved on January 1, 1993 after the reunification and reunification . The successor was the re-established District Court of Dresden.
