The Geesthacht District Court was a German court under the ordinary jurisdiction of the State of Schleswig-Holstein in the district of the Lübeck Regional Court . It was built in 1957 together with the Wedel District Court . The court was overturned in 2007.

Seat and District of the Court

The court had its seat in the city of Geesthacht .

The judicial district included the area of ​​the following cities and towns.

The court was repealed together with the Kappeln District Court on April 1, 2007 as part of the reform of the local court structure . All cities and municipalities were transferred to the district of the Schwarzenbek District Court .

Courthouse

The court was housed in a building at Bandrieterweg 1 . It shared the premises with the administration of the Geesthacht-Land office , which was moved to Dassendorf in 1994. The building is currently used by the Duchy of Lauenburg Job Center.

Superior courts

The district court of Lübeck was superordinate to the Geesthacht district court. The competent higher regional court was the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court in Schleswig.
