Katzenelnbogen district court

The district court Katzenelnbogen was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Katzenelnbogen .

history

With Section 12 of the ordinance of February 22, 1867, the separation of administration and justice was ordered after Nassau was annexed by Prussia . This was not the case in the Duchy of Nassau . The offices were both administrative districts and courts of first instance. In Katzenelnbogen was no private office, it was part of the official Nastätten . With ordinances of June 26, 1867 and August 21, 1867, the judicial function was transferred to the newly created local courts.

On October 1, 1879, the changes to the Courts Constitution Act came into force. This created the Katzenelnbogen District Court and subordinated it to the Wiesbaden Regional Court .

The judicial district consisted of the municipalities of Allendorf , Berghausen , Berndroth , Dörsdorf , Ebertshausen , Eisighofen , Ergeshausen , Herold , Katzenelnbogen, Klingenbach , Mittelfischbach , Mudershausen , Oberfischbach , Reckenroth and Rettert from the office of Nastatten , the municipalities of Biebrich and Schönborn from the office of Diez and the communities of Bremberg , Gutenacker , Kördorf , Niedertiefenbach and Roth from the Nassau office .

With the savings ordinance of July 30, 1932, the court was repealed.

The district court building at Aarstrasse 20, built in 1888, is a listed building .
