history

After the annexation of the Duchy of Nassau by the Kingdom of Prussia during the German War , an ordinance was issued in June 1867 that completely reorganized the previous judicial system in Nassau. The previous judicial and administrative authorities have been repealed and replaced in the judicial sector by local courts in the first, district courts in the second and an appeal court in the third instance. So the Rüdesheim district court in the Wiesbaden district court district was formed from the previous office of Rüdesheim . The district of the district court consequently consisted of the communities Rüdesheim, Aßmannshausen , Aulhausen , Eibingen , Espenschied , Geisenheim , Johannisberg , Lorch , Lorchhausen , Presberg , Ransel , Stephanshausen , Winkel and Wollmphia . On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, it was allocated to the district of the newly established Wiesbaden Regional Court and the areas of Hallgarten , Hattenheim , Mittelheim and Oestrich, which were previously part of the Eltville District Court, were incorporated .

On June 15, 1943, the Eltville District Court was converted into a branch of the Rüdesheim District Court as part of emergency war measures, but was restored as a full court on August 1, 1949.

On August 11, 1972, the district of Hattenheim, which was incorporated into Eltville, was returned to the local court.

When the Eltville District Court was downgraded to a branch of the Rüdesheim Court for the second time on January 1, 2005, the communities of Eltville am Rhein and Kiedrich were finally able to expand.

Superior courts

The Wiesbaden Regional Court is superordinate to the AG Rüdesheim am Rhein . The higher regional court of Frankfurt am Main and the Federal Court of Justice are superordinate in the next instance .
