The Idstein District Court (AG Idstein) is a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Idstein in the Rheingau-Taunus district .

The seat of the court is in Idstein in the Rechtsstrasse 1. The judicial district of the district court Idstein comprises the cities and communities Hünstetten , Idstein , Niedernhausen and Waldems (each including all city and district parts). All are in the Rheingau-Taunus district .

history

After the annexation of the Duchy of Nassau by the Prussian state in 1866, the former Nassau offices were dissolved. In the course of this, the Prussian Ministry of Justice ordered the conversion of the Idstein office on September 1, 1867 , then consisting of the towns of Idstein and Camberg , the market towns of Heftrich , Wallrabenstein and Walsdorf as well as the villages of Bermbach , Bremthal , Dasbach , Dombach , Eisenbach , Engenhahn , Erbach , Esch , Königshofen , Kröftel , Lenzhahn , Niederems , Niederjosbach , Niedernhausen , Nieder- and Oberrod , Niederseelbach , Niederselters , Oberems , Oberjosbach , Oberseelbach , Oberselters , Reichenbach , Schwickershausen , Steinfischbach , Vockenhausen , Wörsdorf , Würges and Wüstems , in a district court in District court district Wiesbaden . On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the change to the district of the newly established Wiesbaden Regional Court took place , at the same time the district court district of Idstein was restructured. While Camberg, Dombach, Eisenbach, Erbach, Schwickershausen, Niederselters, Oberselters and Würges from then on the district of the newly created district court Camberg were thoroughly as a replacement from the local court labor communities Bechtheim , Beuerbach , Ehrenbach , Eschenhahn , Görsroth , Kesselbach , Ketter Schwalbach , Niederauroff , Oberauroff , Panrod and Wallbach increased .

On July 1, 1968, the communities of Niederems, Reichenbach, Steinfischbach and Wüstems were handed over to the Usingen district court .

There were further changes in the course of the regional reform in Hesse , so on December 1, 1971 the district of Panrod, which was incorporated into Aarbergen, was assigned to the Bad Schwalbach District Court , and on July 1, 1973 the villages of Niederems, Reichenbach, Steinfischbach and Wüstems, which now belong to Waldems , were reassigned incorporated, at the same time the town of Oberems, which was incorporated into Glashütten, was handed over to the district court of Königstein im Taunus and the villages of Limbach , Oberlibbach and Strinz-Trinitatis, which were incorporated into the overall municipality of Hünstetten , were added by the Bad Schwalbach district court. Finally, on May 1, 1978, the districts of Bremthal, including Niederjosbach and Vockenhausen, which were incorporated into Eppstein, had to be ceded to the AG Königstein im Taunus.

Superior courts

The Wiesbaden Regional Court is superordinate to the Idstein AG . The higher regional court of Frankfurt am Main and the Federal Court of Justice are superordinate in the next instance .
