Dasbach is a village between Idstein and Niedernhausen and a district of Idstein in the Hessian Rheingau-Taunus district .

history

Dasbach was first mentioned in a document on May 21, 1354 during the marriage speech between Count Adolf von Nassau and Heinrich von Veldenz for their children Gerlach and Agnes. It goes back to the Dags family. The Evangelical Chapel contains parts of the church in the village of Wolfsbach, which was left open in the 16th century . Dasbach had a village school from 1954 to 1965 .

On 1 October 1971, the municipality Dasbach was in the course of administrative reform in Hesse on a voluntary basis in the town of Idstein incorporated . For the Dasbach district, as for all districts, a local district with a local advisory board and a local mayor was set up.

In 2002, as part of the Hessentag in Idstein, a reconstruction of a Roman watchtower was opened with the Idstein-Dasbach Roman tower.

The rifle club "Falke Dasbach" has won several German championships.

Infrastructure

In the village there is a pension, two locksmiths and a horse pension. Two farms are still in use.

Dasbach has around 350 inhabitants and five streets.
