Görsroth is a district of the municipality of Hünstetten in the Rheingau-Taunus district in southern Hesse .

geography

The place is in the Taunus north of the main ridge between Limburg and the state capital Wiesbaden . The federal highway 417 runs a short distance to the west .

history

The former place name Gerhardis Rode is derived from Gerhart von Nürings , who is said to have cleared a forest area around 1160 to create a farm . This Gerhart was based in the Falkenstein area, where he founded the Retters Monastery in 1146 .

On 1 January 1977. Görsroth was in the course of administrative reform in Hesse Hünstetten powerful state law in the five years earlier new church incorporated . For Görsroth, as for the other districts, a local district with a local advisory board and local councilor was formed.

Infrastructure

The village has the Panorama School, a primary school , a multi-purpose hall , a sports field , the Groß + Klein daycare center and the Protestant church , which was inaugurated in 1872 and where another church had stood since 1596.
