Bechtheim is a district of the municipality of Hünstetten in the Rheingau-Taunus district in southern Hesse .

Geographical location

Bechtheim is located in the Taunus (western Hintertaunus ) north of the Taunus main ridge between Limburg and the state capital Wiesbaden . State road 3031 runs north of the village and federal road 417 runs a short distance to the west .

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1306.

On 1 January 1977. Bechtheim is in the course of administrative reform in Hesse Hünstetten powerful state law in the five years earlier new church incorporated . For Bechtheim, as for the other districts, a local district with a local advisory board and local councilor was formed.

The coat of arms shows a green rose branch with three red flowers in silver.
