Beuerbach is a district of the municipality of Hünstetten in the Rheingau-Taunus district in southern Hesse .

Geographical location

Beuerbach is located in the Taunus (western Hintertaunus ), north of the Taunus main ridge between Limburg and the state capital Wiesbaden in the Bechtheimer Gebück . The state roads 3031 and 3277 run through the town, and the federal motorway 3 is a short distance east . In the south-west lies the Beuerbacher See . Beuerbach is the northernmost place in the Rheingau-Taunus district .

history

Settlement in the Beuerbacher area as early as the Stone Age of 4400 BC Chr. To 3500 BC Is now considered to be secured. This is proven by finds that can be assigned to the Michelsberg culture .

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1328 (interest book of the Gnadenthal monastery). Place names were: Furebaich, Furbach, Burbach, Buerbach, Beurbach, Beuerbach. From 1500 the current place name is mentioned.

On December 31, 1971, as part of the regional reform in Hesse, the former municipalities of Beuerbach, Kesselbach, Ketternschwalbach, Limbach, Strinz-Trinitatis and Wallbach voluntarily merged to form the new municipality of Hünstetten. Local districts with local advisory councils and local councilors were formed for all formerly independent communities . In the centrally located Wallbach, a new building complex was built for the municipal administration.

Culture and sights

The Evangelical Church (Beuerbach) was built in the 18th century.

Since 2012 there is a village chronicle “People in and around Beuerbach” , culture for 6000 years (author Manfried Weber). There is also a photo documentation of Beuerbach then and now from 1939 to 2012, streets, houses and residents from these years (author Eberhard Deis).

In Beuerbach there is a gymnastics and sports club Beuerbach 1903 eV With over 600 members, it is one of the largest clubs in the area. In Beuerbach there is also a fishing club, a local and tourist association and a cultural association.
